Emergency medical responders were sent to the swimming pool at Mounds State Park about 5 p.m. Sunday on a report of a near drowning. According to police radio traffic, a female in her 20s had been under water and was having trouble breathing.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in 33 counties, several in the midstate, until 10 p.m. The counties affected include Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York.
